Privacy Policy

Last updated July 31, 2026

Dichotomy Co. ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect through dichotomyco.com, why we collect it, and how it's handled.

What we collect

When you submit a commission or order request, we collect:

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address. If you use the site normally, we may also collect basic, non-identifying analytics (like which pages are visited) to understand how the site is used.

How we use it

We use this information solely to respond to your request, design and produce your custom hat, communicate with you about your order, and — only if you opt in — send occasional updates about new pieces or availability. We do not sell your information to anyone.

Where it's stored

Your submission is stored securely with our backend provider, Supabase, and (for a copy of the request) through our form-notification provider, Netlify. Photos and voice recordings are stored in a private cloud storage bucket accessible only to Dichotomy Co.

How long we keep it

We retain commission request information for as long as needed to fulfill your order and for reasonable record-keeping afterward. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see "Your choices" below.

Third parties

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this site: Supabase (database and file storage), Netlify (hosting and form delivery), Square (payment processing, if your order proceeds to checkout), and, if enabled, Google Analytics (basic site usage statistics) and EmailJS (sending confirmation emails). Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing the data that passes through their systems.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time by emailing us at the address below. If you no longer want to receive newsletter emails, you can unsubscribe using the link in any email we send.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
